Merrimack Valley Credit Union hosts Community Shred Day
The event was held at the credit union’s Lawrence, Waltham and Bridgewater locations.
LAWRENCE, WALTHAM & BRIDGEWATER MA (October 8, 2024) — On Saturday, Sept. 28, Merrimack Valley Credit Union (MVCU) hosted a community Shred Day at its Lawrence, Waltham and Bridgewater locations.
Members of the credit union and community at large brought old, unwanted documents to be shredded. Proper disposal of documents, such as shredding, is imperative to protecting private personal information from identity thieves. Shredding is the safest way to dispose of documents containing a signature, account number, social security number or medical or legal information that are no longer necessary to retain.
Throughout the day, the credit union also offered light refreshments and held a drawing to win two tickets to see the New England Patriots play the Miami Dolphins at Gillette Stadium (no purchase necessary). Congratulations to the lucky winner, Rolando Montanez!
“Our members and communities truly enjoy and appreciate these Shred Day events as they provide a wonderful opportunity to safely dispose of unwanted documents,” says MVCU’s Vice President of Marketing Paula Kerwin. “It’s also a fun way for our team to connect with our members and communities outside of the normal financial services.
