Meritrust Sponsors Wear Red Day®

WICHITA, KAN.—Meritrust Credit Union is pleased to be the official heart check-up sponsor of the American Heart Association’s national Wear Red Day in Wichita.

On Friday, February 1 from 9am-11pm, two Meritrust branches will host Wear Red Day heart checkups. The hosting Meritrust branches are located at 2900 S Oliver and 2050 N Tyler. Participants will receive a FREE heart health screening, consultation with a Certified Healthcare Professional and free Red Dress pin. Light refreshments will also be provided.

“Meritrust cares about the health of our members and those in our community and wants to be part of the Go Red For Women movement,” said Jamie Taulbee, Vice President of Marketing.

Meritrust supports the American Heart Association in its mission to educate about the risks of heart disease. Heart disease is the number one killer of women—more women die of heart disease than the next five causes of death combined. An alarming one in three women will die from heart disease, equating to 460,000 women each year, one every minute.

“The Wear Red Day heart checkups are open to the public. Anyone is invited to walk in to the participating branches to receive a free screening and educational materials from the American Heart Association,” said Jamie Taulbee.
