Members 1st Federal Credit Union is proud to announce the grand opening of its new Williamsport branch, following the spin-off from First Harvest Credit Union.
First Harvest and Members 1st submitted a spin-off transaction in October 2023, which was approved by the National Credit Union Administration (NCUA) on February 12, 2024. The decision to move forward was made official following a member vote on April 8, 2024.
"We are excited to celebrate the opening of this new branch with the Williamsport community. As a high school alum from this region, returning to the area feels like going home, and it fills me with joy to give back to the community that helped shape me," said Michael Wilson, President & CEO. "We look forward to building meaningful relationships in communities across the region and providing personalized service—from advice and support to a full suite of financial tools designed to help both our consumer and small business members live well financially."
Members 1st's Williamsport branch is hosting a grand opening event on Friday, August 9, for members and the community. The branch is located at 1935 E. 3rd St., Williamsport, PA 17701. The event will feature breakfast, lunch, an afternoon snack, live music from WILQ and giveaways throughout the day.
