Members 1st Charitable Foundation announces grant recipients for the third funding cycle of 2024

ENOLA, PA (September 12, 2024)The Members 1st Charitable Foundation has announced nine grant  recipients for the third funding cycle of 2024. The foundation awards grants four times a  year to organizations that serve as catalysts for positive change in their communities.  Organizations are eligible to receive one grant per year with a maximum grant amount of  $10,000. 

The 2024 third funding cycle grant recipients are as follows: 

  • Blessed to Give, Inc. – Dauphin County, PA 
  • Susan P. Byrnes Health Education Center, Inc. – York County, PA 18 South Youth Ministries, Inc. – York County, PA 
  • Domestic Violence Services of Cumberland and Perry Counties – Cumberland  County, PA & Perry County, PA 
  • New Bethany, Inc. – Northampton County, PA 
  • 18th Wonder Improvement Association – Berks County, PA 
  • Caitlin’s Smiles – Dauphin County, PA 
  • Parkland CARES Food Pantry – Lehigh County, PA 
  • Pediatric Cancer Foundation of the Lehigh Valley – Lehigh County, PA

Their commitment to addressing our community’s needs is truly inspiring,” said  Sara Firestone, Executive Director of the Members 1st Charitable Foundation. “By  awarding these grants, we are fulfilling our credit union’s commitment to helping people  and to creating real, positive change. We are excited to see how our contributions can  help drive their missions forward.” 

Members 1st Federal Credit Union launched the foundation in 2021 to enhance the  credit union’s community support. Since its inception, the foundation has invested  $398,500 back into the communities of its 11-county footprint.
