Melvin Ramen brings lending leadership prowess to Orlando Credit Union

Today in Orlando, FL, Melvin Ramen joined the Executive Leadership Team of Orlando Credit Union (OCU) as Chief Lending Officer. "It is with deep admiration and respect that Orlando Credit Union embraces the contributions of new Chief Lending Officer, Melvin Ramen," noted David Duncan Marketing, PR, and Communications Vice President at OCU. "Members will benefit from a depth of expertise, a commitment to enabling better lending processes, and the sheer talent of Melvin. The organization is humbled and honored to have him take his seat here within the C-Suite," added Duncan.

Melvin comes to Orlando Credit Union with a profundity of Lending leadership and is positioned to redefine Lending at Orlando Credit Union wherever appropriate for the benefit of members. "It is my engagement with people and helping all to achieve financial well-being that are cornerstones of my professional ethos that inspired me to contribute to Orlando Credit Union," shared Ramen.

Melvin earned a bachelor's in business administration from the University of Mauritius, and a master's degree in business administration with a concentration in Finance from Webster University. "We are simply overjoyed to have Melvin join the Executive Team and know his efforts with steer Orlando Credit Union forwards for each and every member," added Duncan.

Orlando Credit Union

On April 1, 1936, the Orlando City Employees Federal Credit Union was chartered based on a petition signed by thirty-two employees of the city. It opened for business in a closet on the second floor of Orlando City Hall with an initial deposit of $160. City of Orlando employees volunteered as credit union employees during volunteer hours. As it grew, the credit union hired employees as permanent staff to replace the volunteers and serve members. Today, Orlando Credit Union offers services to everyone who lives, works, or worships in Lake, Orange, Osceola, Seminole, Volusia, Brevard, Polk and Hillsborough counties and the businesses in these counties. ...
