Mazuma Credit Union announces new Chief Member Officer, Serri Helm
OVERLAND PARK, KA (September 9, 2019) — Mazuma Credit Union is excited to welcome Serri Helm as Chief Member Officer (CMO). Helm has a successful history of transforming teams and has been pivotal in stretching and growing organizations into higher levels of performance. Most recently, Helm partnered with Crux as a fractional executive to organizations looking to add senior-level expertise to build and enhance their businesses. Prior, Helm served as Chief Strategy Officer and General Counsel for CommunityAmerica Credit Union. Helm officially stepped into her new role at Mazuma Credit Union on August 5th, 2019.

Helm’s role as CMO will be to support and oversee the operations of Mazuma’s branches, call center, e-sales, e branch, and member service support teams in order to help create an extraordinary place to work and bank. Key areas of focus will be continuing to elevate the Member experience and defining opportunities where Mazuma can create experiences that foster and build community in Kansas City.

Helm holds a J.D. and undergraduate degree in business economics from the University of Arizona. In 2015, Helm was appointed as a member of the Credit Union National Association’s Corporate Governance Committee where she served until 2017. Previously, she served as a member of the Board of Directors for Junior Achievement. In 2002, she was recognized by the Kansas City Business Journal as a third-year member of “Women Who Mean Business.”
