ST. JOSEPH, MI (October 8, 2013) -- Mark Dobberstein has been appointed to the position of Business Sales Strategy Manager at United Federal Credit Union (UFCU) in St. Joseph, Mich. In his new role, Dobberstein will collaborate with UFCU Business Service Advisors and local branches to foster and maintain Business Member relationships in UFCU communities.
Dobberstein was previously Chief Financial Officer with a privately-owned enterprise in Southwest Michigan, where he oversaw the accounting and financial functions of the organization during a period of very aggressive growth. Dobberstein’s experience includes 15 years of industry practice with financial institutions in Southwest Michigan.
Dobberstein holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Finance from Grand Valley State University in Allendale, Mich. He has attended the RMA Commercial Lending School, the AGMAC Agricultural Lending Program and School, the Northwestern Mutual Life College Agent Training and Licensing Program, and participated in the Disney Keys to Excellence program.
A native of Muskegon, Mich., Dobberstein is a Board Member of the Lee Memorial Hospital Foundation and Dowagiac Rotary Villa, a past member of the Dowagiac Union School Board and the Cass County Economic Development Board, and a past President and member of the Dowagiac Rotary Club. He and his family reside in Dowagiac, Mich.
