Maine Savings’ Vice President of Member Services retires after nine years with the credit union
HAMPDEN, ME (April 16, 2015) — Maine Savings Vice President of Member Services, Don Poisson, has announced his retirement this May, 2015. His long, successful career in the Maine financial services industry began in 1969.
“You don’t get the privilege to work with someone of Don’s caliber very often in this business,” said John Reed, President and CEO of Maine Savings. “In his tenure he has not only helped grow our membership, but has strengthened our branch management staff and helped ensure we are providing our members with the best possible service. His skills and commitment as well as his kind personality and sense of humor will be greatly missed.”
Poisson joined Maine Savings in 2006 as the Regional Vice President and Manager for the Hampden branch, as well as the Hammond Street and Broadway branches in Bangor. His recent responsibilities include oversight of Member Services at all branches, as well as serving as Physical Security Officer. He attended what is now Northern Maine Community College and earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Husson College. Poisson also holds a Certificate of Graduation from the New England School of Banking. He served on several nonprofit boards and currently is a member of the Masonic Lodge and Anah Temple Shrine. He is a Registered Maine Guide and a member of the Maine Professional Guides Association.
