Library of Congress Federal Credit Union raises $1,500 for Alzheimer’s Association Walk to End Alzheimer’s®

HYATTSVILLE, MD (October 2, 2024)The Library of Congress Federal Credit Union proudly supported and participated in this year’s annual Alzheimer’s Association Walk to End Alzheimer’s®.

On Saturday, September 28, Library of Congress FCU’s team, the “Library Legends,” joined hundreds of others in the largest event to raise funds and awareness for the care, support and research efforts of the Alzheimer’s Association®. The Library of Congress FCU team raised $1,500 for the cause.

“We are proud to do our part in helping the Alzheimer’s Association raise awareness of this devastating disease,” said Jennifer Hurst, President and CEO of Library of Congress FCU. “Deepest appreciation for our team and all who supported our efforts to make a difference in the fight against Alzheimer’s and all other dementia.”

The annual Alzheimer’s Association Walk to End Alzheimer’s® is held in more than 600 communities nationwide. Currently, more than 6 million Americans are living with Alzheimer’s and over 11 million family and friends provide their unpaid care.
