Library of Congress Federal Credit Union launches scholarship program

HYATTSVILLE, MD (March 18, 2024) |

The Library of Congress Federal Credit Union has launched a new scholarship program. Four graduating high school seniors within the Credit Union’s membership will have the opportunity to each earn $2,000 toward their undergraduate degree at an accredited college, university, technical or trade school.

Applicants must be a member of Library of Congress FCU and a spring 2024 high school graduate with a minimum GPA of 3.5. Eligible members must then complete an application, which includes essay questions of what makes a good librarian and how the applicant demonstrates leadership. The application deadline is March 31.

"We have been proudly serving the library community for over eight decades and we’re excited to take our commitment one step further by supporting the goals of the next generation," said Jennifer Hurst, President/CEO of Library of Congress FCU.
