Liberty First Credit Union announces new President/CEO

LINCOLN, NE (October 22, 2013) — Liberty First Credit Union (Liberty First) is pleased to announce the selection of Frank Wilber as the organization’s new President/Chief Executive Officer effective November 25, 2013.

“Liberty First is excited to have Frank take on the role of President/CEO,” said Tom Bolton, Chairman.  “Frank comes to Liberty First with infectious enthusiasm for his job and the credit union movement alike.”

Frank has spent the last seven years with ELGA Credit Union in Burton, Michigan. He served as the Executive Vice President of the $340 million dollar credit union that provides services to individuals who live, work, worship, volunteer, or attend school within six counties in Eastern Michigan.  Frank was an instrumental part of the leadership team that drove performance and membership growth at ELGA Credit Union.

“Frank has many great ideas for continuing Liberty First’s history of growth and exceptional member service.  His unique vision and drive will ensure continued success for the credit union,” said Bolton. “The Board is looking forward to seeing what the future holds for Liberty First under Frank’s leadership.”

When asked about his new position at Liberty First, Frank stated, “It is an honor to accept the role of President/Chief Executive Officer of Liberty First.  The organization has such a rich history and a great reputation for member services.  I am eager to begin my service to the credit union and its community.”

Liberty First was originally chartered as the Burlington Employees Cooperative Credit Association in 1935 and served the employees of the Chicago, Burlington & Quincy Railroad.
