YORK, PA (July 22, 2024) — First Capital Federal Credit Union employees along with FirstCap Gives Back Foundation members partnered with York Habitat for Humanity to assist with their duplex build in Red Lion.
In total, we had six people help out with painting, caulking, and adding finishing touches to the home in preparation for the new residents to move in on August 5th.
“It’s so rewarding to help build a home for someone in need in our community,” said Lisa Barshinger. “That’s what our Credit Union and Foundation are all about…people helping people.”
First Capital FCU and the FirstCap Gives Back Foundation also presented a check for $700 to Habitat from Humanity as part of our 2nd Q. give back initiative.
For 3rd quarter, we are supporting Chasing the Rainbows. This organization offers daily support and unites those dealing with infertility, pregnancy loss, miscarriage, stillbirth, baby loss, and infant loss.
