As www.GoBankingRates.com launches its second annual 12 Days of Finance poll, which asks Go Banking Rates readers to vote for their favorite personal finance expert throughout the month of December, last year's runner-up, David Bach, once again attempts to take the top spot.
EL SEGUNDO, CA, December 5, 2012: David Bach, distinguished financial expert and motivational speaker who has helped Americans achieve debt-free lifestyles, is competing for the second year in a row in Go Banking Rates' 12 Days of Finance Poll.
Go Banking Rates has pitted Bach against 11 other world-renowned personal finance experts, including Suze Orman, Dave Ramsey and Clark Howard, to determine who readers consider to be the most important voice in the finance world. Each day, a financial guru is highlighted to give readers an overview of their background and financial philosophy. Readers can vote each day in December for their favorite finance expert, and Go Banking Rates will announce the winner January 1.
Known for his best-selling book The Automatic Millionaire, one of the key components of David Bach's message is the concept of the "Latte Factor." Bach suggests that small, routine purchases like morning lattes, magazines and cigarettes add up and further deter consumers from achieving wealth. Instead of allocating funds toward insignificant purchases, David Bach advises followers invest those dollars.
Regarding his strategy for helping followers implement his advice and gain financial freedom, Bach tells Go Banking Rates, "Action leads to results, and that is always my goal, to get my reader who I feel is a close friend to take action, even if it's a small action at first…like ‘go now and pay yourself first.' That small action then leads to the next action and it becomes like a snowball of success."
In 2011, Bach beat out the "Ultimate Cheapskate," Jeff Yeager, for second place in the 12 Days of Finance poll, just behind Robert Kiyosaki. Today, he currently falls near the back of the pack. However, there are still 27 days of voting left during which David Bach fans can help him make a comeback.
