Joe Tedesco of Ocean Financial Federal Credit Union honored by Catholic Charities of Long Island

Joe Tedesco, President & CEO of Ocean Financial Federal Credit Union (OFFCU) was honored by Catholic Charities of Long Island at the organization’s annual golf classic at the Huntington Crescent Club in Huntington, NY.

For 20 years, Catholic Charites of Long Island have organized the golf classic in order to raise funds for programs and services that are conducted throughout the year. Each year, they choose one honoree that best exemplifies leadership and continued support to both Catholic Charities and those in need.

“It is an honor to be recognized by Catholic Charities of Long Island,” said Tedesco. “As a catholic credit union, we are always looking for opportunities to collaborate with other catholic faith-based organizations in order to help those in need. I look forward to representing the traditions inspired by Catholic Charities of Long Island in future endeavors within Ocean Financial and the surrounding community.”

“We are proud to honor Joseph and his commitments not only to our organization, but to Ocean Financial and to those in need,” said Laura Cassell, CEO of Catholic Charities of Long Island. “Joe is an excellent leader, and we look forward to him leaving his mark with Catholic Charities of Long Island.”

In addition to being a member of the board of trustees of Catholic Charities of Long Island, Joe is a Third Degree Knight with the Father Joseph O’Connell Knights of Columbus Council 3481 in Oceanside, and is active with charities including Philabundance Food Bank, United Way, YMCA and the Boys & Girls Clubs.
