JetStream Federal Credit Union hosts Future Bankers

MIAMI LAKES, FL (July 6, 2018) — JetStream Federal Credit Union welcomed 3 high school students from the Future Bankers’ Camp program for the 2018 summer season.

“The employees at JetStream Federal have been afforded the great opportunity to invest in the future of our community through training and educating these young and vibrant individuals,” said Davena Dunn, JetStream’s Employee Development Specialist. “It is our hope that in hosting youth from around the metro Miami-Dade area that we engender a thirst for education and information, while empowering them with the skills needed to excel within the financial services industry.”

The Future Bankers’ Camp is a program for high school students within Miami-Dade County who desire to obtain employment within the financial services industry.  Yearly, JetStream Federal hosts students from this program by providing hands-on training in various departments, including lending, accounting, member care, human resources, and training.  By the conclusion of their internship, students have gained experiential knowledge within their chosen financial service specialty.
