Jeanne D’Arc Credit Union CEO Shines as Grand Marshal of Lowell City of Lights Parade

LOWELL – Mark S. Cochran, President and Chief Executive Officer of Jeanne D’Arc Credit Union, served as Grand Marshal of the Lowell City of Lights holiday parade Saturday, helping to welcome thousands of celebration attendees to the bustling downtown.

“It was an honor to serve as Grand Marshal of this year’s City of Lights parade,” said Mark S. Cochran, President and Chief Executive Officer of Jeanne D’Arc Credit Union. “I was proud to represent Jeanne D’Arc Credit Union along with many of our employees who created a beautiful float and handed out giveaways along the parade route. It was a wonderful way to wrap up our 100th Anniversary year.”

Jeanne D’Arc Credit Union’s float celebrated the joys of the season with beautifully decorated Christmas trees, wrapped gifts, colorful lights, and our mascots Cash and Violet waving to the crowd.

The City of Lights Holiday Celebration and Parade attracted about 20,000 people from the region who enjoyed seeing the many floats, marching bands, fire engines, police cruisers, costumed characters, and, of course, Santa and Mrs. Claus. The daylong holiday celebration included a hot chocolate contest, carol singers, a children’s magic show, street performances, a choral concert, the festival of wreaths, photos with Santa, and the lighting of City Hall.
