MARANA, AZ (September 13, 2024) — In our 13th year, CU Lunch Local is continuing its mission of asking for industry-wide support for local businesses by asking credit unions, CUSOs, leagues, regulators, and credit union partners to shop and spend dollars locally. We invite you to “lunch local” on October 15th or any day or way that works for you to show your support. If a participating organization supports a local business during October 2024, we ask participants to share photos and stories on social media with the hashtags #CULunchLocal.
What better way to show our support for our local community than to buy local? Every dollar spent makes a difference when it goes to a local business, whether you buy a morning cup of coffee, order lunch, or organize a group of people to support local businesses.
Participation is easy! Buy lunch for your team, partner with a local business, co-sponsor an event, or cross-promote with other local businesses. CU Lunch Local continues to grow! In 2023, dozens of credit unions across North America participated in giving back to their local communities. Coordinated by Jessica Richardson-Isenegger, who helped establish and coordinates the annual event on behalf of Michigan Business Connection (MBC) www.mbcloans.biz.
