Cedar Rapids, IA -- Health Services Credit Union will be joining Alliant Credit Union in its brand new branch at 1305 1st Avenue SE when construction is complete in December. The branch will be a combined branch, serving both Alliant Credit Union and Health Services Credit Union member’s seamlessly under one roof.
Alliant Credit Union serves current and retired employees, as well as their family members, of those who work at Alliant Energy Corporation, ITC Midwest, NextEra Energy/Duane Arnold Energy Center and their successors. Health Services Credit Union serves current and retired employees who work in the healthcare field, their families, as well as students pursuing healthcare degrees.
Both Alliant Credit Union and its division Health Services Credit Union, are full-service financial institutions, providing services and products ranging from savings and checking accounts to mortgages, student loans and mobile banking apps.
Alliant Credit Union was formed in 1933 by employees of the local utility company. Health Services Credit Union was formed in 1970 by employees of Xavier Hospital (now Mercy Medical Center) in Dubuque. Both credit unions listened to the needs of their co-workers and chartered a credit union to answer those needs.
Alliant Credit Union currently has one office in Cedar Rapids located inside the Alliant Energy Tower. The location at 1305 1st Avenue will be Alliant Credit Union’s second Cedar Rapids location and Health Services Credit Union’s first location in the Cedar Valley. Both Alliant Credit Union and Health Services Credit Union have three offices in Dubuque, Iowa. Health Services Credit Union became a division of Alliant Credit Union in 2007.
