Head of Financial Innovations at PayPal to Keynote NACHA’s Global Payments Strategies Conference

HERNDON, Va., October 29, 2012 – NACHA – The Electronic Payments Association announced today that Dan Schatt, General Manager of Financial Innovations at PayPal, will keynote its 2012 Global Payments Strategies Conference. The Conference, which will take place December 5-6 in Miami, Fla., is an interactive educational event designed specifically for senior level payments and treasury management executives responsible for developing and implementing global payments and commerce strategies.

As this year’s keynote speaker, Schatt will share his thoughts on how organizations can foster innovation through the changing regulatory environment. Schatt’s address will take place at 8:45 am on Wednesday, December 5 at the JW Marriott Hotel Miami.

“Both regulatory and technology changes continue to dramatically impact the payments environment,” said Janet O. Estep, NACHA president and CEO. “In this changing environment, organizations of all types are reaching out to each other in new ways to determine how to best meet demanding customer needs.  We look forward to having Dan and other speakers at the conference share how they are helping to respond to change around the globe.”

As the head of Financial Innovations for PayPal, Schatt is currently responsible for defining and executing on the business and product strategy for PayPal's initiatives with financial and payment infrastructure providers. During his tenure, PayPal has grown the number of the company’s bank partnerships from zero to several hundred. Formerly, Schatt was an industry analyst with Celent, and led the company's retail payments practice. Additionally, he served as GM of Yodlee's data services group, and was responsible for integrations with top tier financial institutions. Before Yodlee, Schatt worked as an investment banker for Salomon Smith Barney and held positions in Asia, Europe and Africa with Citigroup.

Schatt has been widely quoted in the media, including The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, Financial Times and Business Week.
