HC3 gives back to community through 2019

BIRMINGHAM, AL (December 17, 2019)HC3, formerly High Cotton, a data-driven tech company delivering customer communication, for DDA and loan statement and notice printing and mail services, finishes off 2019 with three community service events to give back to the community.

HC3 partnered with The Foundry in their Adopt-A-Classroom drive by donating a selection of over 180 items to be used within a classroom at a local elementary school over the course of the year. This drive helped teachers working in low socio-economic areas within the Birmingham community to stock their classrooms with necessary supplies without using their personal finances. The executive team also matched the cost of these items, an amount over $500, which was given directly to the school. The donation event concluded with lunch for the teachers to surprise them with all the items for them to use with the day-to-day functions in their classrooms.

HC3 also worked with Innovate Birmingham by becoming an employer partner. This organization gives unemployed or underemployed students the opportunity to learn about software development, data analytics and more while also assisting them in obtaining a job in this field after graduation. HC3 also recently signed a letter of support for Innovate Birmingham’s grant application to expand its offerings to more rural areas of the city.

Lastly, HC3 worked with Priority Veteran, a partner of United Way of Central Alabama, which is an assistance program focused on serving U.S. military veterans and their families who are homeless or at immediate risk of becoming homeless. HC3 completed five full kits, each compiled with the necessary items to serve as a home starter kit, to be given to a veteran and his or her family.

“Here at HC3, we are passionate about giving back to a community that truly serves as a home to all of us,” said Griffin McGahey, president of HC3. “With the help of the many organizations above, the community that makes up Birmingham continues to grow and succeed. The success of these organizations will only sustain the progression we as a community hopes to see, and all of us at HC3 are always happy to do what we can to contribute to it.”
