Hawaii State FCU welcomes Warren Altona and Reid Hinaga to its regional retail team

HONOLULU, HI (September 9, 2021)Hawaii State Federal Credit Union (Hawaii State FCU) is pleased to announce the hiring of Warren Keone Altona as regional manager, East Oahu and Maui, and Reid Hinaga as regional manager, in-store program. Altona and Hinaga will be responsible for overseeing the branches in their respective districts, including the credit union’s four new branches that are scheduled to open in Safeway store locations on Oahu and Maui by 2022.

Warren Keone Altonaregional manager, East Oahu and Maui

Altona will oversee the daily operations of Hawaii State FCU branches in East Oahu and Maui. Prior to joining Hawaii State FCU, Altona spent more than 15 years at Bank Hawaii where he held several executive positions, including his most recent position as market manager, vice president where he managed a market portfolio of more than $1.4 billion. He is a graduate of the University of Hawaii at Manoa, where he received his Master of Business Administration and bachelor’s degree in finance.

Reid Hinagaregional manager, in-store program

As regional manager of in-store program, a new position at Hawaii State FCU, Hinaga will play a key role in launching the credit union’s newest retail channel. He will oversee the daily operations and hiring for the credit union’s four new Safeway branch locations on Oahu and Maui. Hinaga previously held several manager positions throughout his 15 year career at Bank of Hawaii, most recently serving as the Metro Waikiki market manager. He is a graduate of the University of Hawaii at Manoa where he received his bachelor’s degree in business administration. Hinaga currently serves as a volunteer board member on several boards, including the Waikiki Improvement Association and the University of Hawaii Alumni Association.
