Hawaii State Federal Credit Union (Hawaii State FCU) has announced the promotion of Reid Hinaga to senior vice president of its branch division. In this leadership role, Hinaga will be responsible for overseeing the performance and operations of the credit union’s 14 branch locations on Oahu and Maui, as well as its member call center.
“Reid’s extensive experience in financial services, coupled with his demonstrated leadership in branch operations, has been a tremendous asset to Hawaii State FCU,” said Andrew Rosen, president and CEO, Hawaii State FCU. “We are confident that his efforts will continue to enhance our branch operations and deliver exceptional service to our members.”
Since joining Hawaii State FCU in 2021, Hinaga has held several key roles, including division manager, senior regional manager – East region, and senior regional manager – Safeway region. He played a pivotal role in launching the credit union’s Safeway branch network, establishing locations in Kihei, Kapahulu, and Hawaii Kai. Prior to joining Hawaii State FCU, Hinaga served as a market manager at Bank of Hawaii for more than a decade.
Hinaga is a graduate of the University of Hawaii at Manoa, Shidler College of Business. He has served on several boards, including the Boys and Girls Club of Hawaii, the Honolulu Zoological Society, and the Waikiki Improvement Association. Hinaga is currently the president of the University of Hawaii Shidler College of Business Alumni Association board of directors.
