Hawaii Credit Union League (HCUL) announces the hiring of Sayaka James as Education & Training Director. She takes over the position as long-time HCUL employee Wendy Kishida retires at the end of September.
Sayaka James is a certified meeting planner with 10 years of experience in catering sales and event planning and 17 years in the hospitality industry. She comes to HCUL from the Hilton Hawaiian Village where she worked as Senior Catering & Events Manager and managed complex medium- to large-scale events, including corporate meetings, conventions, and incentive programs for the largest hotel on Oahu. She recently worked with HCUL staff to execute its very successful 2024 Annual Convention at the Hilton Hawaiian Village.
Sayaka James received a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology/Japanese in 2009 from the University of Hawaii at Manoa.
