Hanscom FCU honors Mark Walsh for 40 years of service

HANSCOM AFB, MA (December 26, 2018) — Hanscom Federal Credit Union recently honored its Vice Chairman of the Board Mark D. Walsh with a Board Service Award for his 40 years of volunteer service to its members and employees. In lieu of a personal gift, Walsh asked the credit union to make a $500 donation to the Boston Children’s Hospital, which it did in his name.

“Since 1978, Mark has been a leading voice on our board, helping to guide our credit union through some challenging times,” said Paul Marotta, Hanscom FCU’s Chairman of the Board. “Today, we’re in a strong position to deliver the products, service, and returns our member-owners have come to expect from us, largely because of Mark’s freely given expertise and dedication to the credit union cause, and for that, I’m grateful he’s chosen to serve with us all these years.”

Walsh has served on many committees, including his current role as alternate chairman of the Executive Committee, as well as the Asset Liability Management Committee. The Acton, MA, resident is a retired federal employee with 35 years of service and a veteran of the United States Army.
