Grow Financial Federal Credit Union Sets Expansion Plans into South Carolina

First Three Branches will Open in Columbia

TAMPA, FL (February 12, 2013) Grow Financial, one of the leading Credit Unions in the nation, announces the credit union’s continued growth with three branches set to open in Columbia, South Carolina in 2013 – 2014.

Grow Financial plans to open two branches in 2013 and one in 2014, all targeted for Columbia.  In addition, a home office will be set up in Columbia for the two newest Grow employees to work out of, and continue the hiring process.  Chase Clelland has been named the VP of Operations in South Carolina, and John Paul is currently serving as the Dealer Relationship Representative.

Clelland is a life-long resident of South Carolina, and a graduate of the University of South Carolina in Columbia.  Clelland comes to Grow Financial from AlliedBarton, where he was a Business Development Manager for the largest American-owned security company serving over 200 Fortune 500 companies in diverse vertical markets specializing in Healthcare, Higher Education, Commercial Real Estate and Residential Communities markets.  Paul, a native to Columbia, is responsible for starting, encouraging and maintaining a healthy relationship with our auto dealer partners in South Carolina.  Thus far, he has helped in establishing relationships with more than 45 dealers in the state.

The Credit Union’s goal is to open 15 branches throughout South Carolina. After targeting the city of Columbia in such towns as Harbison, Forest Acres and Sandhill, the Credit Union plans to further expand into Greenville and Charleston.

“We are excited to expand our membership into South Carolina, and offer our products and services to an entirely new group of members”, says Jason Moss, Senior Vice President of Delivery Channels.  “We want to be present to serve not only individual members, but also businesses, while helping the state be proactive in their business development growth objectives”.

The look and feel of the new Grow Financial branches that will be opening in Columbia will feature an innovative and refreshing alternative to traditional bank lobby designs, a contemporary color scheme, and unique interactive technology.

In addition to the new branches opening in South Carolina, Grow Financial is also opening its first branch in Lakeland, Florida this March, with another branch set to open in Wesley Chapel, Florida later this year.
