Greater TEXAS FCU Partners with Foundation Communities to offer Safety Net Savings Program

AUSTIN, TX (July 15, 2013) -- Greater TEXAS Federal Credit Union (GTFCU) launched a new partnership with Foundation Communities to offer a Safety Net Savings Program on Saturday, July 13, 2013.

Greater TEXAS Federal Credit Union has been the Foundation Communities Individual Development Account (IDA) Program’s financial institution for over two years and was recently invited to expand the partnership to add the Safety Net Savings Program. Foundation Communities created the Safety Net Savings Program to encourage clients to establish and contribute to a savings account specifically intended to be used towards unexpected emergencies. In the 12-month program, clients will receive a variety of incentives for following guidelines and reaching savings goals.

Foundation Communities chose to partner with GTFCU for this initiative because they offer free and low cost services to their membership. Greater TEXAS Federal Credit Union currently has 17 branches across the state of Texas and is known as Aggieland Credit Union in the Brazos Valley.
