SPOKANE, WA –February 8 marks the final day of Dorothy Riley’s long and successful career at Global Credit Union before retirement.
Dorothy Riley, Corporate Headquarters’ lively and genuine greeter, is saying goodbye to staff and members after 36 years of dedicated service.
Dorothy came to Global in 1977 as a teller at the Fairchild Air Force Base branch. After a few years Dorothy was promoted to lead teller and then to branch supervisor. A few years later she transferred to Corporate Headquarters where she managed the Member Services Department. After moving to Operations, she finally landed in the position she knew she was always meant to have— greeter.
“It’s always been my passion to help the members. Making the members smile is always my goal,” she remarks warmly.
As her career at Global comes to a close, she looks back fondly. With retirement just around the corner, Dorothy looks forward to the simple things in life. She says, “I plan to make no plans. I want to enjoy my home—clean, cook, putter and have happy hour!”
Dorothy’s time at Global will long be remembered. Even though she describes herself as a creature of habit, she’s remained a loyal employee because of how she was treated. She explains that Global is her family. They provided emotional and financial support when times were tough, and that will never be forgotten.
Global would like to thank Dorothy Riley for her hard work and excellence at the credit union and wish her a happy retirement.
