GLCU celebrates a successful 87th Annual Membership Meeting

Bannockburn, IL (April 24, 2025) |

Great Lakes Credit Union (GLCU) hosted its 87th Annual Membership Meeting on Tuesday, April 15. We invited members to attend the meeting via a Teams webinar so they could learn about GLCU’s 2024 performance and plans for 2025. Immediately following the Annual Membership Meeting, the Board of Directors and Executive Leadership Team held the Board Organizational Meeting.

Board Chair Pat Price commenced the Annual Membership Meeting, announcing that a quorum was present and declared the meeting to be a legal meeting. She then introduced the current members of GLCU’s Board of Directors, Associate Directors, Emeritus Directors, Supervisory Committee Member, and Executive Leadership Team.

Nominating Committee Chair Cathy Corbi presented the slate of candidates. The nominees were David Goles, Sarah Marshall, and Pat Price. All three Directors were re-elected for three-year terms.

Pat Price then reported on the changes in the Board of Directors, including that Director Stephen Park will be transitioning to Emeritus Director; Associate Director Jamie Berra was appointed as Director and will fill the unexpired portion of Stephen Park’s term; and Emeritus Director Jim March officially retired after 18 years of service on the Board of Directors.

She also noted that GLCU received questions from members upon registration and thanked the members for their engagement and feedback, letting them know that GLCU has posted the responses to our website. GLCU’s 2024 Annual Report was also linked to the website, complete with the Report of the Board Chair and President/CEO Steven Bugg. The report highlights our innovative technological and product and services advancements, community outreach results, financial education initiatives, and enhancements to member experience, proving that 2024 was a year of dynamic progress.

Finally, Board Chair Pat Price presented milestone anniversary awards to Director Kevin Leman for 10 years of services, and to Directors Jim Fabrie and Stephen Park for 20 years of service on the GLCU Board of Directors. Retiring Emeritus Director Jim March also received an award in recognition of his 18+ years of service as a GLCU Director.

Pat concluded by thanking all members and employees who attended our Annual Meeting, and noted that we look forward to gathering throughout the year at the various events we are planning to celebrate our members and the communities in which we serve.
