Duluth, GA - Georgia United Credit Union held its 23nd annual Wish Tree program to collect new toys and articles of clothing for deserving foster children with local Departments of Family & Children’s Services during the month of December. Georgia United invited interested individuals, schools, or civic groups, to participate by dropping off a new gift, toy, or article of clothing at one of Georgia United’s 16 branch location by mid-December so deliveries could be made to DFCS prior to Christmas.
The Christmas Wish Tree Program is one of Georgia United’s longest running community service projects and one of its most successful with an estimated 13,500 gifts donated to multiple county DFCS offices during the program’s 23 year tenure.
Special thanks go to the many individuals, companies and school groups who participated in this initiative and donated items such as bicycles, iPods, and gift cards for teenagers.
