DULUTH, GA (AUGUST 12, 2013) -- Thanks to the generosity of Georgia United Credit Union’s members in Gwinnett, 937 school supplies were donated to Ferguson Elementary and Beaver Ridge Elementary in Gwinnett County this morning. This was a part of the Credit Union’s second School Supply Drive with Star 94 Radio to benefit local Title 1 schools near their 16 branch locations across the state. A grand total of 8,251 items were collected from all branches with Georgia United’s Corporate Offices at 6705 Sugarloaf Parkway donating 484 items to Beaver Ridge Elementary and Georgia United’s Gwinnett Branch at 2270 Satellite Boulevard donating 453 items to Ferguson Elementary.
Duluth - Beaver Ridge Elementary Assistant Principal Nury Crawford (l.) accepts 484 school supply donations from Georgia United Credit Union employees Megan Bonaccorso and Amanda Hullinger at their corporate headquarters. Sherry Ferguson of Ferguson Elementary also received 453 school supplies for that school from Georgia United’s Satellite Boulevard Branch.
