Gear up for free fun: Pelican State Credit Union’s Free Kids Bike Race returns to Monroe
MUNROE, LA (August 13, 2024) — Pelican State Credit Union is thrilled to announce the return of its 6th Annual Free Kids Bike Race on Saturday, October 5, at Tower Place of Monroe.
Kids 12 and under and their parents are encouraged to participate in this vibrant celebration of community and free fun. Participants will race by age group—5 and under, 6-8, 9-10, 11-12, and a parent’s only race!

Time: Check-in begins at 9:00 am; Race begins at 10:00 am
Each racer will receive an exclusive Petey racer medal, a commemorative t-shirt, and a goody bag full of prizes and swag from local businesses in the Monroe community. Petey the Pelican will also cheer racers on, lead them in stretches, and take photos.
Alongside the bike race, the event will offer a range of engaging free activities and games for kids. Plus, door prizes will be distributed throughout the event, adding extra fun and surprises for all attendees.
This event is free and open to the public. All racers must wear helmets. Participants must also bring their own wheels, including bikes, scooters, wheelchairs, skateboards, and rollerblades.
