Futurist and innovation expert Lisa Bodell to speak at CUNA GAC
WASHINGTON, DC (January 13, 2016) — Lisa Bodell, founder/CEO of the innovation research and training firm futurethink, will speak during Monday’s general session at the 2016 CUNA Governmental Affairs Conference (GAC), which will be held February 21-25, 2016 in Washington D.C. A renowned innovation expert and futurist, Bodell has helped hundreds of leaders use simplification in order to ignite innovation and incorporate forward-thinking into their strategic planning and work culture.
“Lisa Bodell brings a fresh take on unlocking potential,” said Jim Nussle, president/CEO of CUNA. “I think credit unions will really connect with her simple approach to transformative innovation.”
Based on her bestselling book Kill the Company: End the Status Quo, Start an Innovation Revolution, Bodell’s presentation will discuss how complacency and the relentless pursuit of efficiency prevent organizations from finding and employing innovative solutions that get results. Bodell, a globally recognized public speaker, will offer GAC attendees action-oriented tips, strategies and resources for catalyzing innovation at their credit unions.
Also set to speak at the CUNA GAC are award-winning broadcast journalist Ted Koppel, who will take the stage during Tuesday’s general session, and bestselling author Daniel Pink, who will be the speaker for the CUNA Councils-sponsored ED (Filene) Talk on Sunday.
CUNA GAC is the premier event for the credit union movement. The conference gathers thousands of credit union leaders from across the country to advocate on behalf of America’s more than 100 million credit union members. Through the League-coordinated Hill visits, attendees meet with representatives directly and engage them in conversations on important credit union issues. The conference also hosts engaging speakers, informative breakout sessions and the largest vendor showcase in the industry.
