Freedom Credit Union Brings Cheer This Holiday Season

Warminster, PA (December 21, 2012) - Santa and Mrs. Claus helped Freedom Credit Union launch the holiday giving season this month by collecting non-perishable food items and toiletries from its Members.  Freedom also donated $400 to St. John’s Pantry in Hatboro, PA.  In addition, Freedom employees partnered with the Salvation Army and participated in their Adopt-an-Angel program, in which employees helped over 25 children by purchasing gifts for them from their wish list.

In an effort to increase community participation, Freedom had Toys for Tots bins at its various branches.  Members began filling the bins in November and by mid-December, all of the bins were overflowing with toys, bringing the total to over 125 toys collected.

Every year, Freedom Credit Union employees vote for their favorite charity and the two charities with the most employee votes will each receive a donation of $100.  This year, the donations will be going to Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia and the Hurricane Sandy Relief Fund.
