First Financial celebrates 70 Years community college of Baltimore County $10,000 grant

In celebration of its 70th anniversary, First Financial Federal Credit Union (FFFCU) is recognizing seven of its foundational partners by making a $10,000 donation to each in support of their organizations. The second recipient of a $10,000 grant is Community College of Baltimore County (CCBC), the second partner group added to First Financial’s field of membership in 1973.

Grant funds will support CCBC’s Women in Education initiative. The college will build a mentorship program for women of color students at CCBC. Each student will be paired with a faculty member and a workforce professional, who will serve as mentors to the students throughout their time at CCBC. Through the initiative, students will have access to campus-based resources as well as professional development and leadership programming that relates to the students’ career interests.

“First Financial has proudly partnered with CCBC for 50 years,” stated First Financial President and CEO, Eric Church. “We are excited to support their Women in Education initiative and help to make a positive impact on the future student leaders in the program.”
