During 1st Quarter 2024, First Capital Federal Credit Union and the FirstCap Gives Back Foundation jointly raised money and collected supplies for the York County SPCA.
In total, First Capital and the FirstCap Gives Back Foundation, the charitable arm of First Capital Federal Credit Union, donated $3,000 and pet supplies collected in branches during the quarter.
The money was raised through pretzel sales and a Pet Photo Contest on social media which garnered a lot of support for both the Foundation and the York County SPCA.
“We were surprised and excited by the participation in the Pet Photo Contest,” said Lisa Barshinger, Executive Director, FirstCap Gives Back Foundation. “We had 31 entrants, both cats and dogs, vying for the title of Top Dog and Cat. The winning dog, Indy and the winning cat, Simba, both received a prize package from the Foundation and will star in an upcoming First Capital Federal Credit Union marketing promotion.”
For 2nd quarter, First Capital and the FirstCap Gives Back Foundation are supporting Habitat for Humanity.
