Financial Plus Credit Union is proud to announce a donation of over $34,000 to the United Way. The donation stems from an employee contribution campaign and will benefit the United Way of Genesee, Shiawassee, Saginaw, and Bay Counties.
The campaign received its highest participation to date, with 157 employees contributing across the organization. Employees were given the option to contribute through regular deductions from the paychecks, or opt for a one-time donation to the United Way. Overall, $17,000 will be donated to the United Way solely through employee contributions. Financial Plus has pledged to match 100% of all contributions, effectively doubling the total to $34,000.
“Our employees’ dedication to the communities we serve extends beyond our branch doors. It’s apparent in the way our team rallies together every year to support the United Way. We’re committed to helping break down barriers, improve lives, and create opportunities for those who need it most,” said Madeline Mason, Public Relations and Social Media Specialist at Financial Plus Credit Union.
The United Way advocates for producing better results within the community. They work with partners to surround children, individuals and families with the resources they need to succeed at all stages of their lives.
