INDIANAPOLIS, IN (February 12, 2025) |
Financial Center is expanding its footprint with a new branch in McCordsville, set to open in the summer of 2025. The $1.5 million investment will provide greater access to financial services for members in east Indianapolis, Greenfield, Fishers, and the surrounding areas.
Once a quiet town with a single blinking stoplight, a neighborhood, a park, and a few small businesses surrounded by farmland, McCordsville has transformed into one of Indiana’s fastest growing communities. The town’s population has surged nearly 900 percent this century with continued residential and commercial development.
“McCordsville represents an exciting opportunity to expand our presence and serve even more members,” said Cam Minges, President and CEO of Financial Center. “As the community grows, we’re committed to growing with it – providing the financial coaching, products, and services our members need.”
Since 1953, Financial Center has been at the forefront of financial education, winning eight national awards for adult financial literacy. This new branch continues that tradition, offering a people-centric experience where members can interact with a team of financial coaches for personalized advice and direction. A financial education library will also be available for the community, reinforcing the Credit Union’s commitment to financial health and well-being.
The new branch will feature Interactive Teller Machines (ITMs) with video capabilities, allowing members to perform more complex transactions via a drive-up lane. Additionally, this location will join the nationwide credit union shared branching network, giving members of other credit unions easy access to their funds and further supporting the cooperative nature of the industry.
“With 11 percent of our primary banking members already living in the area, this branch will serve as a hub for financial wellness on the rapidly growing east side of Indianapolis,” Minges shared.
Construction is being led by Cincinnati-based DEI, an experienced design and build firm, with many Central Indiana-based vendors providing additional services.
As construction finishes this summer, Financial Center plans to host a ribbon-cutting ceremony with local community and civic leaders and grand opening events and offers for the community.
