Financial Center, an $860 million leading Indiana credit union, has announced the construction of a new banking center at 146th Street and Hazel Dell Crossing, planned to open in late August 2024. This state-of-the-art location will be Financial Center’s first location in Hamilton County and serve as a hub for financial wellness, reflecting the Credit Union’s commitment to bringing high-quality, personalized financial products and advice closer to its members’ homes.
“With 13% of our members already living in Hamilton County, this new branch represents our commitment to making banking more accessible and convenient for them,” said Cam Minges, President & CEO of Financial Center. “We also see a tremendous opportunity to welcome new members from the local community, giving them access to our competitive products and financial experts in their neighborhood.”
Since 1953, Financial Center has been at the forefront of financial education, winning eight national awards for adult financial literacy. This new branch continues this tradition, focusing on providing a people-centric experience where members can interact with a team of financial coaches for individualized advice and direction and will include a financial education library for the community.
The new branch will additionally feature Interactive Teller Machines (ITMs) with video capabilities that allow members to perform more complex transactions via a drive-up lane. Additionally, this branch will join the nationwide credit union shared branching network, enabling members of other credit unions easy access to their funds, further supporting the cooperative nature of the industry.
The location's construction is being led by Cincinnati-based DEI, an experienced design and build firm, with a range of Central-Indiana based vendors providing services, including:
- Phoenix Enterprises
- ShepCo
- Interior Supply and Interior Environments
- Integrity Demo
- Muegge
- KJ Funke & Associates
- EF Marburger
- GetPro Painting
- Sharp Business Systems
- Conzer Security
- C-CAT
As construction completes later this summer, the Credit Union plans to host a ribbon-cutting ceremony with local community and civic leaders and a family-focused grand opening event with games, giveaways, and special offers for new members.
"At Financial Center, our investment in Hamilton County is about more than infrastructure – it's truly about helping our current and future members live healthier, more vibrant lives. We're so excited to continue our Credit Union’s growth in this new market," said Minges.
