TALLAHASSEE, FL (September 11, 2024) |

Envision Credit Union was recently honored with the first ever Legacy  Partner Award from Second Harvest of the Big Bend at their Annual Hunger Summit. This  award recognizes organizations whose support has significantly advanced Second Harvest’s mission and its ability to serve the community. Envision’s commitment to fighting food insecurity  perfectly exemplifies the spirit of this award and demonstrates the powerful impact that  collective efforts can achieve.

“Food insecurity is a pressing issue that affects countless individuals and families in our  community,” said Darryl Worrell, President and CEO of Envision Credit Union. “As a credit  union founded by educators 70 years ago, we believe that where you bank matters. When you  choose Envision, you’re becoming a part of a credit union dedicated to making a real difference.  I want to extend my heartfelt appreciation to everyone who has joined us in supporting Second  Harvest and the incredible work they do to serve our community. Together, we are creating a  stronger and healthier future.”

The credit union’s annual ‘Envision No Hunger’ initiative encourages members, employees,  local businesses, and residents to join Envision in donating to support Second Harvest’s  childhood nutrition programs. This is the fifth year that Envision has led the charge, matching  donations from the community dollar for dollar, up to $30,000. Since its inception in 2019,  Envision No Hunger has raised more than $700,000. To enhance these efforts, Envision  recently made an additional donation of $300,000, bringing their total support to more than one  million dollars in just five years.

“We extend our heartfelt thanks to Envision Credit Union for being such an exceptional partner  in our mission to fight hunger in the Big Bend,” said Monique Ellsworth, CEO, Second  Harvest of the Big Bend. “The constant support has made Envision a true catalyst for change,  driving positive impact in our community. We are immensely grateful for their commitment to  making a difference and helping us build a stronger, more nourished future for all.”
