Ent Receives AFFN Grant and Awards Proceeds to YMCA Military Programs

Colorado Springs, Colo. (Oct. 17, 2012) – Ent FCU was awarded $1,500 as part of the 2012 Armed Forces Financial Network (AFFN) Matching Grant Program – a unique giving program designed to reward those who support US Service Members and their families.

Ent decided to donate the $1,500 award to the YMCA Military Outreach Program – a program focused on strengthening families and building community for those who serve in the military. They provide community leadership in programs and activities for Active Duty, Guard and Reserve families including personal growth, child-care, recreation and referral services as well as health and wellness classes, family budgeting workshops, Friday Family Fun Nights, and other programs that provide a connection to the rest of the community.

About the YMCA Military Outreach Program

The generosity of others is at the core of the Y’s existence as a nonprofit.  It is only through the support of its volunteers and public and private donors that the Y is able to strengthen families and build community for those who serve in the military.
