Eastside Connections Student Credit Union Grand Opening

NILES, MICHIGAN (November 14, 2012) – Tuesday, November 14 marked the grand opening of the Eastside Connections Student Credit Union in Niles.  Sixth grade teacher Mr. Payne and his students celebrated the grand opening with a ribbon cutting ceremony at the school.  Eastside Connections Student Credit Union is a division of Honor Credit Union and will be serviced by Eastside’s sixth grade students.

Teachers, students and parents can make deposits once a week during lunch to student branch managers and tellers under the supervision of an Honor team member.   “We are proud to partner with Eastside Connections School in order to increase financial literacy in the Niles community,” said Jason Dillenbeck, Niles Branch Manager. Also present at the ribbon cutting were Honor Credit Union CEO Scott McFarland and Vice President of Member Service Kent Figy.
