Dover Federal Credit Union sponsors free admission at the Biggs Museum of American Art

The Biggs Museum of American Art and Dover Federal Credit Union are excited to announce a community-focused partnership that brings free admission to the museum. This collaboration highlights both organizations' shared commitment to serving Kent County residents and fostering connections within the community.

What Can Visitors Experience at the Biggs Museum? 

The Biggs Museum offers a dynamic range of exhibitions and programs that engage audiences of all ages and interests: 

  • Permanent Collection: Discover a private collection of fine and decorative American art spanning from the 1700s to today. Explore an array of paintings, sculptures, furniture, silver, and more. 
  • Rotating Special Exhibitions: Enjoy exhibitions showcasing artists local and regional artists. Current and upcoming highlights include: 
  • Rozeal.: Want Not (Rescue from the Otherwise Obscene, Salvation from the Wicked). This thought-provoking exhibition by internationally renowned contemporary artist Rozeal explores themes of identity and cultural expression. On view through March 2 
  • Art Works for All: Celebration of Creativity, which features inspiring artwork created by children and adults with disabilities through the Art Works for All residency program. Opening February 15 
  • The Prints of Rockwell Kent: Selections from the Ralf Nemec Collection showcases the work of renowned artist and activist Rockwell Kent (1882–1971), whose bold illustrations of remote landscapes and literary classics made him a household name. Featuring selections from the world’s largest collection of his prints, this exhibition highlights Kent’s exploration of humanity’s relationship with nature through his dramatic depictions of the earth’s most rugged environments. Opening March 20 
  • Community Engagement: The Biggs Museum is a hub for local events and activities, participating in beloved community celebrations like Dover Days, Comic Con, the Delaware Pride Festival, and Positively Dover African American Festival.

Located in downtown Dover at 406 Federal Street, the Biggs Museum is open Thursday through Sunday from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Visitors are encouraged to explore the museum during local festivals and events to experience the vibrant culture of Kent County.
