Department of Labor Federal Credit Union (DOLFCU) announced to its members that it will re-brand itself as Labor Credit Union during yesterday’s annual meeting.
For over eight decades, DOLFCU has served those who drive, support, and care for the labor movement. Although the U.S. Department of Labor (USDOL) is the credit union’s primary sponsor and will continue to be, the board and leadership team recognized that many groups, associations, and partnerships beyond USDOL have similar missions. The new brand name, updated logo and new visual identity are focused on being more inclusive of everyone that serves and supports the labor movement.
“We’re excited to move forward as Labor Credit Union,” says Thomas Domingue, CEO of Labor Credit Union (formerly known as DOLFCU). “We were organized by working people, for working people to help them build a foundation of financial strength. The new brand reflects our dedication to continue that movement by serving the entire labor industry – whose members also work tirelessly to make a difference in the lives of many.”
The only change to the credit union will be its name and logo. The members will receive the same personalized service, affordable financial products, convenient access, and financial education they have become accustomed to from the same knowledgeable team members. Members can continue to access the credit union at its Francis Perkins and Bureau of Labor Statistics branch locations, as well as through convenient remote channels such as online and mobile banking.
In addition, Labor Credit Union is in the planning stages of expanding and opening additional locations to further enhance convenience for its members. The new logo and brand identity will be rolled out gradually, beginning today.
