Dedicated content for supervisory committee and internal auditors offered at Las Vegas conference
MADISON, WI (June 6, 2014) — CUNA has announced the date and location of this year’s CUNA Supervisory Committee & Internal Audit Conference, one of the few annual credit union programs developed specifically for supervisory committee members and internal auditors: December 7-10 in Las Vegas, NV. Registration and conference details are available at training.cuna.org/sciac.
“Supervisory committee content often gets paired with board events,” said Kevin Smith, Director of Volunteer Education, CUNA. “The motivation behind this conference is to provide an exclusive gathering place for committee members and internal auditors where they can access resources and opportunities specific to their roles.”
Attendees of this three-day conference will advance their competencies and address trends in fraud, types of audits, growing internal audit departments, oversight and more. With access to a dedicated agenda of insightful sessions, expert speakers and hot-topic updates, attendees will leave prepared to perform their roles to the fullest.
This year’s program also features a pre-conference session, CUNA Supervisory Committee Fundamentals Workshop, for newcomers to solidify their supervisory foundations and get up to speed on oversight in today’s credit union movement.
Attendees have the opportunity to earn credits toward their Certified Credit Union Volunteer (CCUV) designation by successfully completing specified conference sessions.
