Deck the Hall(way)s: Westerra Credit Union donates $10,000 to Denver school foundations

DENVER, CO (December 18, 2024) |

An ode to the season of giving, Westerra Credit Union (Westerra) distributed $10,000 to educational foundations in the Denver area following the launch of its “Deck the Hallways” initiative. As part of the effort, Westerra donated $100 for every Smart Money Checking or Money Market Select opened by new members earlier this month.

Highlighting Westerra’s ongoing commitment to fostering growth among students and educators, various organizations in Aurora, Cherry Creek, Denver, Douglas, Littleton and Mapleton, as well as the Jefferson County Administration Association, Community Resources, Inc. and the Public Education & Business Coalition, received funding*.
“Colorado’s public schools build a foundation for our next generation,” said Steve Schmidle, president and CEO of Westerra. “By giving back to local educational organizations, we can uplift the community at large, ensuring a brighter, more prosperous future for all.”
This program is part of Westerra’s ongoing seasonal initiatives rewarding new and existing members through December 31. For more information, visit www.westerracu.com/become-a-member.
