MADISON, WI (April 30, 2013) – CUNA announced that registration is now open for the CUNA Supervisory Committee & Internal Audit Conference, December 8-11 in Las Vegas, NV. Registration and school details are available at training.cuna.org/sciac.
Through a curriculum specific to credit union supervisory committees and internal auditors, CUNA Supervisory Committee & Internal Audit Conference provides attendees with pertinent knowledge and updates on their roles in the coming year. Committee members and internal auditors are provided with the insights and resources to keep up with the growing complexity of their roles while bringing new levels of expertise to their oversight duties. “The board and supervisory committee uphold the trust and reliability for which credit unions are known,” commented Kevin Smith, Director of Volunteer Education at CUNA. “By empowering them to keep their knowledge and oversight sharp, we’re looking after the credit union movement as a whole.”
This annual conference addresses new trends that directly affect the supervisory committee, including fraud, types of audits, growing internal audit departments and oversight. With access to a committee-dedicated agenda of insightful sessions and expert speakers, attendees leave this conference prepared to perform their roles to the fullest for the year to come.
Attendees also have the opportunity to earn credits toward their Certified Credit Union Volunteer (CCUV) Designation by completing applicable on-site sessions and exams.
