GRAND RAPIDS, MI (June 18, 2013) Xtend, Inc., the Grand Rapids, Michigan-based multi-owned cooperative CUSO, hosted its tenth annual Stockholder Meeting at the J.W. Marriott Hotel in downtown Grand Rapids. The event was attended by nearly one hundred credit union professionals, and according to CUSO sources was the largest event that Xtend has ever hosted.
Xtend Board Chairman Steve Searfoss from AAA FCU (South Bend, IN) facilitated the event, which included CUSO owners, clients and business partners. In his remarks, Searfoss noted that Xtend “was very proud of its commitment to help mid-market credit unions not only survive, but thrive in today’s competitive marketplace.” Searfoss compared the CUSO’s shared resources business units to “pinch hitters in baseball – hard to find but every team needs a good one on the bench in order to be successful” and thanked his fellow board members for their passionate contributions in the past year.
Xtend President Scott Collins concluded the meeting with a presentation titled ‘Leading, Following and Getting in the Way,’ during which he highlighted both the successes of the past year and the business development projects that were ongoing. Collins noted, “The change of venue to the J.W. Marriott was our fourth in ten years, which in its own right is indicative of our continued growth and maturation as a firm.”
The CUSO will host its 2014 Annual Stockholder Meeting next June 17th.
