CUNFL and Franklin Mint Federal Credit Union partner on Mobile Bear Country Credit Union

CHADDS FORD, PA (October 31, 2024) — Franklin Mint Federal Credit Union (FMFCU), in collaboration with Credit Union Network for Financial Literacy (CUNFL), proudly unveils its newly redesigned Mobile Bear Country Credit Union van, featuring the iconic Berenstain Bears in a vibrant and playful design. This mobile unit travels to schools and community events to deliver The Berenstain Bears Financial Literacy Cub Club program, teaching children essential money management skills.

The van, designed by CUNFL, is an immersive experience that brings Bear Country to life, capturing the attention of children with its colorful exterior and inviting them to engage with hands-on activities. Once onsite, FMFCU educators lead children through fun and interactive lessons centered on the core principles of The Berenstain Bears Financial Literacy Cub Club: Save, Share, Spend, Earn.

“We are thrilled to reintroduce Mobile Bear Country Credit Union as a new way to engage with our community and promote financial literacy,” said Michael Magnavita, President and CEO of Franklin Mint Federal Credit Union. “This initiative allows us to bring education directly to children in a setting that sparks curiosity and excitement, all while teaching critical money management skills. It’s a natural extension of our commitment to fostering financial well-being from a young age.”

The Bear Country Credit Union van represents a collaborative effort between FMFCU and CUNFL, allowing children to explore financial literacy concepts in a fun, memorable way. As the van continues its journey across schools and community spaces, it ensures more children can begin learning positive financial habits, guided by FMFCU educators.
