Madison, WI - Credit unions have begun to follow the lead of their members in adopting tablets to provide a streamlined member service experience. In response to the growing interest in the topic, the CUNA Technology Council recently published, “Tempted by Tablets: Putting Handheld Computers to Work in Credit Union Operations” to explore the design process involved in the introduction of tablets in member service and back-office operations, along with the system innovations that facilitate the use of handheld devices and bring credit unions closer to paperless environments. The paper examines how IT staff members are dealing with the security concerns posed by tablets and looks at the next steps financial institutions may take to expand the use of these devices.
CUNA Council members are eligible to receive complimentary copies of this, and over 300 other white papers; non-Council members may purchase white papers for $50 per copy.
The paper is available online in the white paper section of www.cunacouncils.org.
