CUNA Marketing & Business Development Certification Schools will be held Oct. 15-19, 2017, in Las Vegas. CUNA merged prior programs that served marketing and business development professionals uniquely to form this one event to provide training, discussion and the opportunity to earn designations in their respective fields. While the core education for both designation programs remains similar, attendees will enjoy shared learning and networking during limited group sessions.
“Marketing and business development share common goals of creating value and stimulating growth,” said Ariel Bilskey, director of blended learning at CUNA. “Beyond the designations, which can dramatically enhance attendees’ standing in the industry, these schools are important because they create an opportunity for members of both fields to meet face to face and learn from one another, helping them view their work from a fresh perspective.”
The marketing program, which is completed over three years, provides comprehensive training on marketing strategy and leadership, and allows attendees to earn the Credit Union Certified Marketing Executive (CUCME) designation. The one-year business development program covers the various components and responsibilities of credit union business development, culminating with the opportunity to earn the Credit Union Business Development Professional (CUBDP) designation.
The school is hosted by expert speakers and includes plentiful opportunities for discussion and networking with fellow attendees.
